Welcome to wonderlandMetropolis!
We are dedicated in bringing you only best in Alice in Wonderland artwork in the categories listed below.
We are primarily dedicated to 2010's Alice in Wonderland. But if we find, or if someone submits, a quality work of another Alice genre, then we will gladly accept that work.
When posting, please post to the appropriate Folder, as only I can recommend works to featured. Deviations posted to "Featured" will be automatically declined.
We hope to create a new standard, to raise the bar, so to speak, in bringing to you only the best, most creative and quality work on dA.
No chibi, or overly exaggerated manga/anime Alices or work of a similar kind will be accepted. If you dress yourself in rabbit ears and call yourself "The White Rabbit" you won't be posted here. Only extremely unique cosplays will be accepted. What is unique about your art, and how is it new and different from others in the genre? We reserve the right to decline work that we don't think is up to our standards. And our main focus is "uniqueness."
So, welcome and come join us as we explore the multi-faceted world known as Wonderland!
One Last Defense for AliceYesterday I was browsing about on Facebook and Twitter and one of many things I saw was the news that Disney IS going to be making "Alice Through the Looking Glass", a followup to the much maligned rendition of "Alice" directed by Tim Burton. One Last Defense for Alice by lilminette
And immediately I let out a frustrated groan. Not at the fact that there's a sequel to that Alice movie, but at the people complaining.
I have not seen any trailers for it, but there's just something that really bugs me about the fact that people are automatically writing it off as awful.
Now, given with this new film's predecessor, plus the recent "Maleficent", "Oz, The Great and Powerful", and that Kenneth Branaugh-directed "Cinderella", the track record with all of these live-action movies gives fair and just reason for folks to expect the worst.
But there is something that has always rubbed me the wrong way about people complaining about Tim Burton's "Alice".
I'm not going to pretend it's a good movie, because it's not. But I've never understo
Requiem of a Mome RathBizarre the trees of tulgey wood,Requiem of a Mome Rath by AlmostWhitey
Twisted, with a painted hood
Of purplish colored leaves.
Stretching wondrous to the sky,
Where birds of folded paper fly,
They take the light like entish thieves.
The Tumtum tree stands in the dark,
Pale his wrinkly, weathered bark
And in his face a wicked look.
A vorpal sword is rested there,
Overgrown in moldy air,
That's just like in the mirror-book.
Grotesque the scary tulgey wood,
Where the Jabberwock once stood,
With biting jaw and catching claw.
Moss grows now atop his bones,
The hero's grave, a pile of stones,
Beneath the last tree that he saw.

Let's make haste and go to war.
Alice, don't you know, you're mad?
But we're all, so why so sad?
Take your Vorpal-Blade in hand
And snicker-snack through wonderland!
Take some heads, make a collection,
On the path to resurrection.
Or maybe it's the road to doom?
I know, i know, it's rather gloom.
But go now, child, there is no time,
Even for this little rhyme.
But well, you know, it was a killer,
More psychotic are just you,
On opium with caterpillar,
In Queensland with that bloody shrew.
Leave me now, you crazy cat,
With your silly hatter's hat,
And your pale-white rabbit-fur.
What I am talking?! It's a blur!
Just go away, you loony thing.
Cut and slice and kill something!
